Having a good routine will certainly help you hit more fairways and greens this is something all great players adhere to and have and they all have a lot of similarities in their personal routines.

Always ask yourself these questions before you pull the trigger:

1) What’s my starting line?
2) Do I need to shape the ball?
3) Is there any wind and if so what effect will that have on my ball
4) What’s my yardage?
5) Club selection

I like to call this the “decision box” which you’re in when your behind the ball looking down your target line, once you’ve answered your questions you then step into the “action box” when you will pull the trigger. After you’ve played and still in this box a quick feedback from the print out of the ball before you move on to next shot.
